Presentation Guidelines

ORAL PRESENTATIONS

Oral presentations sessions will occur in standard 15-minute time slots. Please aim for a 12 minute presentation to be followed by 2-3 minutes of questions. Moderators may cut off speakers who exceed their time allotment.

Each presentation room will have a laptop and projector system for AV presentaitons. We also will have a preview room set up for viewing slideshow presentations on the same sorftware system as that used in the presentation rooms. If you are uncertain about whether your presentation will work properly on a computer other than your own, please run throughout the slides it in the preview room and modify them as necessary.

Check in later for information about transferring your presentation to the computer in the presentation room.

Guidelines for good oral presentations abound. Many of which can be found on last years AOU/COS meeting website: Information for Presenters and Moderators.

POSTER PRESENTATIONS

Posters will be displayed individually on easels, which will be provided along with, 3’ x 4’ foam boards, and pushpins for mounting. Posters must fit within the dimensions of the foam board, but you may choose the orientation. Supplies and poster location assignments will be available at the registration desk.
